Bio Born and raised in Zürich, Switzerland,
Laurence Hillman began to study astrology at the age of
sixteen and this has remained his passion for over thirty years.
He is a full-time professional astrologer, specializing in
helping his clients understand their deeper purpose and
their life's calling. A force in the ongoing movement to
merge astrology with depth psychology, his approach is
practical and full of mythology and Jungian insight. He uses
theatre as the main metaphor to stage the psyche's inner
dramas. He has
lectured internationally and conducted workshops including
"Star Cross’d Lovers" at London's Globe Theatre
where he also taught on Shakespeare and
Astrology and "Mercury at Shakespeare’s Globe." At the Cycles and Symbols Conference in
California, he lectured on "Venus in America" (co-presented
with his father James Hillman). He has also taught at Jean
Houston's Mystery School, at Pacifica Graduate Institute and
in Findhorn in Scotland. He is the author of numerous
articles, Planets in Play - How to Reimagine Your Life Through the
Language of Astrology (Tarcher/Penguin 2007) and he is the co-author of
Alignments - How to Live
in Harmony with the Universe (Lantern
Books, 2002).
